With three Gazelprices in the bag, Carelink is Denmark’s fastest growing supplier of care to citizens and patients in the social- and health sector, and when they needed to develop a new system for COVID quick tests a valuable partnership took shape. After having won several procurements, including the region Syddanmark, our most important task was to help them develop a system that could lift the test capacity from 8.000 to 60.000 daily quick test.
Carelink needed a scalable secure system, due to the extra high demands from GDPR when healthcare services are involved. Other than that, it should be able to handle it huge amount of quick test in an easy fashion, while on the move or at the various test centers. The system should be handled to scan the many health cards and test kits and handle the data, so it was quickly delivered to the citizen. With the increase in demand for tests, the daily 8.000 test, when we started our collaboration in early February 2021, quickly rose to 35.000, to reach 60.000 daily tests in April. Before our collaboration every tester had an assistant with a laptop who entered the data for every test. Today, the single tester can scan the data, while the system automatically secures the process, and the saved hours can be used to test even more.
One could believe that there are more hours in a day in Pakistan. That is exactly how it felt when our team dropped everything to dedicate every waking hour to succeed with a system that would ensure that much efficiency. Brian expressed multiple times that he was very surprised by how well the process went: “what they delivered was a whole different quality than what I am used to. It is surprising how well the collaboration went with someone so far away.” We are proud of our
team, who takes an enormous amount of ownership and approaches the task with the most
incredible “we want to create something big” attitude.
